We have a right and responsibility to contact our representatives about important issues, such as: Drought: Tax incentives for installing rainbarrels & other rain collection systems. Capturing rainwater will not only reduce the amount of water used for irrigation; but, it will reduce the run-off that takes silt and toxins into the river systems, by releasing this water to the environment at a slower pace. Tax incentives guidance for greywater systems. This greywater solution is just a simple one; there are many complex & very efficient systems in place around the world. Building codes that require hot water to be available within 2-3 seconds of turning on the tap, by the use of point of use heaters, or short, insulated supply lines from a water heater. To get hot water to my kitchen sink or to the shower requires running the hot water for several moments - up to 2 gallons worth, before the water gets warm. Since the government is worried about Global Warming (AGW), there should be significant tax credits for installing solar cells, insulation, attic ventilation, and tankless water heaters. |
